Building a digital presence for Together to serve specialist lending customers across B2C and B2B

Together
Specialist expertise made visible to borrowers and brokers through customer-centric design
At a glance
- An 8+ year partnership spanning discovery, platform rebuild and optimisation
- A platform serving both direct borrowers and intermediary brokers with tailored content and journeys on a single governed estate
- Sitecore 10.4 platform replacing a legacy estate that no longer reflected the brand’s market position

Objective
For Together, a lender with over 50 years’ experience in property finance, the challenge was that the existing digital presence didn’t reflect the depth of that expertise or the breadth of what the business could offer. Together operates in a part of the market that high-street banks often won’t touch: complex income situations, short-term bridging, auction finance and specialist buy-to-let. That specialism is the commercial advantage, but it wasn’t visible in the digital experience.
Together serves two fundamentally different audiences, that needed custom user journeys. Direct borrowers are individuals navigating what is often a stressful, high-stakes financial decision, needing reassurance, clarity and confidence that someone understands their situation. Brokers are professionals placing business at volume; they need speed, product specifics and a reason to recommend Together over a competitor.

Solution
UNRVLD has worked alongside Together for over eight years. The partnership began with a full strategic discovery that mapped the specialist lending market, audited the existing estate, and identified where the gap between the brand's commercial reputation and its digital presence was widest.
The website rebuild, delivered across sprints on Sitecore 10.4, gave Together a design system and flexible component library that lets content teams tailor messaging for different borrower segments without developer involvement. The information architecture was restructured around how each audience evaluates a specialist lender: direct customers can explore products by situation rather than product code, while brokers find the criteria and documentation they need to place business efficiently.
A subsequent navigation research phase in 2025 went further, mapping distinct user journeys for each audience and defining the structural changes needed to give borrowers and brokers dedicated paths from the first click.
Outcome
Together's digital presence now communicates the specialism that sets the business apart in a market where most lenders look the same.
Content teams have the tools to publish and update tailored messaging for different borrower demographics, responding to product and market changes without waiting for development cycles. The dual-audience architecture means direct customers and brokers each encounter an experience designed for how they work, rather than a single compromise that serves neither well. The design system enforces brand consistency across the estate while giving teams the flexibility to move quickly.
What's Next
This year the focus turns to the distinct journeys of direct and intermediary customers: how each audience navigates the platform, where friction exists, and how the experience can be tailored further.
We’re delighted with our new website. UNRVLD took the time to understand our needs, and together we undertook extensive research to ensure we delivered an end product which meets the needs of our different audiences. The team pulled out all the stops to ensure a successful launch and we have received great feedback from our customers and business for whom this project will continue to deliver ongoing value.
